Banana Nut Bread


Banana Nut Bread – Healthy, moist, quick to prepare and completely delicious, irresistible to most!




  • 150g butter or margarine
  • 1 cup white or brown sugar
  • 2 cups flour (240g)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 large bananas, mashed (slightly overripe)
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 100g Pecan Nuts / Walnuts




  1. Preheat oven to 180°C
  2. Using a mixer, cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time and beat well.
  3. Add bananas and vanilla and fold in dry ingredients.
  4. Bake in a greased loaf tin for 45 minutes.

NOTE: For a sweeter dimension stir in a cup of chocolate chips.
